Carpathian ski resorts
We book hotels, transfers and ski passes at three resorts in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Each one suits a different trip. Bukovel for long groomed runs and evening life, Dragobrat for deep snow above the treeline, Slavske for short, affordable weekends reached by train.

Resort notes
Three Carpathian resorts, three different holidays. Here is what each one actually gives you on the snow.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, 900-1372 m
The largest ski area in Ukraine and the easiest to plan around. Groomed pistes for every level, snowmaking on most main runs, and a village where you can walk from your hotel to the lift.
Best for families and first-time skiers who want reliable grooming and an easy base.

Above Yasinya, 1400-1700 m
The highest base in the country and where local riders go for powder. Off-piste terrain is the point here; marked runs are short and snowmaking is limited. The access road is rough and often needs a 4x4 or the resort shuttle.
Best for confident riders chasing fresh snow, not for beginners or anyone wanting a village.

Lviv Oblast, 600-1200 m
The closest resort to Lviv and the cheapest to reach by train. Slopes are gentler and shorter, spread over several separate hills rather than one connected area. The lower altitude means thin cover at the base in mild winters.
Best for a short weekend, learn-to-ski groups and travellers arriving without a car.

Snow conditions vary by season and weather. We do not guarantee snow quality for specific dates. Check resort webcams in the week before departure, then pack for the forecast you actually see.
Bukovel
Snowmaking supports a large share of the groomed network, so the season often runs from early December to mid-April.
Dragobrat
The highest base in the Carpathians holds natural snow well, but the mountain road can close after heavy falls.
Slavske
Closest to Lviv and the lowest of the three, so the window is shorter and mid-season weeks are the safest bet.
